The neti pot is the oldest form of nasal irrigation and was developed as an ayurvedic yoga tradition in ancient india. The word neti means nasal cleansing and comes from the historical Indian language, Sanskrit.
Nasal cleansing is a personal hygiene practice in which the nasal cavity is washed to flush out mucus and debris from the nose and sinuses. These little pots pictured are made locally in Colorado and are a much better alternative to nasal sprays, and store bought plastic neti pots.
Only distilled water or boiled water should be used and adding sea salt or himalayan salt can be very beneficial.
It's amazing how well these work for clearing out sinuses and relieving cold symptoms.
